Terms of Service Agreement

1. MEMBERSHIP TERMS
1.1 General Membership
Members must be at least 4 years of age.
All memberships require signed waiver forms.
A 30-day written notice is required for membership cancellation.
1.2 Training Requirements
Proper academy attire is required for all classes.
Students must maintain personal hygiene.
No shoes are allowed on training mats.
Students must adhere to the belt ranking system and academy protocols.
2. PAYMENT TERMS
2.1 Tuition and Fees
Monthly membership fees are non-refundable.
Multiple payment options are available.
No pro-rating is available for missed classes.
2.2 Payment Methods
Auto-pay options include credit card, debit card, or ACH.
Cash payments are accepted in person at the front desk.
3. COMMUNICATION & MESSAGING CONSENT
3.1 SMS and Communication Policy
By providing your mobile number and opting in, you give express written consent to receive SMS communications from Ground Dwellers Martial Arts Academy. These messages may include class reminders, schedule updates, academy alerts, and occasional promotional offers. Message frequency may vary but typically ranges between 4–8 messages per month.
Message and data rates may apply.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Text “STOP” to opt out of SMS messages at any time.

Consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchase or enrollment.
3.2 Opt-In & Opt-Out Process
You may opt out of text message communications at any time by texting “STOP” to the number from which you received messages, or by submitting a written request to our academy staff.
Upon opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive further SMS communications unless you opt in again.
To rejoin our messaging service, you must provide new opt-in consent by texting a designated keyword or updating your communication preferences with our staff.
4. FACILITY RULES
4.1 Safety Protocol
Students must sign in before each class.
No sparring is allowed without instructor supervision.
All injuries must be reported to staff immediately.
Students must follow all posted safety guidelines.
4.2 Academy Etiquette
Respect must be shown to all instructors and fellow students.
No food or drinks are allowed on the training mats.
Cell phones must be silenced during class.
Parents must supervise non-participating children at all times.
5. LIABILITY AND WAIVERS
5.1 Risk Acknowledgment
Participation in martial arts involves inherent risks.
The academy is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.
Students train at their own risk.
Medical clearance is recommended before beginning any training program.
5.2 Media Release
The academy may photograph or video classes and events.
Media content may be used for promotional purposes.
Members may opt out of media usage by submitting a written request.
6. SCHEDULING AND ATTENDANCE
6.1 Class Policies
A 24-hour notice is required for private lesson cancellations.
Schedule changes will be posted on the academy website.
6.2 Attendance
Regular attendance is encouraged for student progress.
Maximum class sizes may be enforced to maintain quality.
Reservations may be required for specialty classes.

9. MODIFICATIONS

10. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By signing up for classes, submitting forms, or using our facilities, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms of Service.
